Your journey begins at the hotel, where you'll meet your guide who will brief you about the day's plan. From there, you'll head to Machame Gate, starting your climb at an elevation of 800 meters. The trail leads you through the lush Montane Forest, offering beautiful scenery and a chance to spot local wildlife. After hiking for 5-7 hours, covering a distance of 12 kilometers, you'll reach Machame Campsite at an elevation of 1800 meters, where you'll have dinner and receive a briefing about the next day's adventure.

Day 2: Machame Camp to Shira Camp

Today's climb takes you from Machame Campsite to Shira Cave Campsite. The path leads through the Moorlands, gradually gaining elevation. As you ascend to 3750 meters, you'll be rewarded with stunning views of Mount Meru, the Shira Plateau, Kibo Peak, and a breathtaking sunset. The day's climb covers 6 kilometers and lasts around 4-5 hours. At Shira Cave Campsite, you'll enjoy a hearty dinner and rest up for the next day's challenge.

Day 3: Shira Camp to Barranco Camp via Lava Tower.

As you traverse through the Moorland and Alpine Desert habitats, you'll reach an elevation of 4600 meters at Lava Tower before descending to Barranco Campsite at 3900 meters. The 10-kilometer climb takes approximately 5-7 hours. This strategic acclimatization helps prepare you for higher altitudes and ensures a safer ascent.

Day 4: Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp via Barranco Wall.

Today's journey starts from Barranco Campsite, ascending the Barranco Wall to an elevation of 4200 meters. The climb, lasting 4-5 hours and covering 6 kilometers, allows for further acclimatization. Crossing ridges and valleys, you'll make your way to Karanga Campsite at 3995 meters, where you'll have lunch. If you're on a 6-day climb, you'll continue to Barafu Campsite after an early dinner and a briefing about the summit. For those on a 7-day climb, the night is spent at Karanga Campsite.

Day 5: Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp.

Day 5 - Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp.
From Karanga Campsite, you'll proceed to Barafu Campsite, situated at 4673 meters. Though the distance is only 4 kilometers, the climb takes around 3-4 hours due to the challenging altitude. After lunch and a brief rest, you'll prepare for your final ascent to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa, at 5895 meters. The climb to the summit starts at midnight, with a light breakfast provided. Reaching Stella Point at 5756 meters, you'll witness magnificent views of glaciers, the crater, and a breathtaking sunrise. From there, it's about an hour's walk to Uhuru Peak, where you can capture memories with photographs. Afterward, you'll descend to Barafu Campsite, have a short nap, and enjoy dinner before continuing to Mweka Campsite.

Day 6: Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak, then descending to Mweka Camp

Today is the longest and most challenging day, starting from Barafu Campsite and culminating at Mweka Campsite. The 17.5-kilometer climb can take 10-12 hours as you cross the Alpine Desert and glacier habitats. Beginning at midnight, you'll make your way to the summit once more, capturing spectacular sights along the way. After reaching Uhuru Peak, you'll return to Barafu Campsite for a short rest and lunch. The descent continues to Mweka Campsite at 3100 meters, where a warm basin of water and a delicious meal await before bedtime.

Day 7: Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate

On the last day of your adventure, you'll descend from Mweka Campsite to Mweka Gate, starting at 3100 meters and reaching an elevation of 1800 meters. The 10-kilometer descent takes about 3-4 hours, leading through the enchanting mountain forest habitat. At Mweka Gate, you'll sign out and receive your well-deserved certificates. The climb culminates in a celebration with the crew, who will sing and dance traditional African songs, including the Jambo song. You'll have the opportunity to show your appreciation by giving tips to your guide, porters, and cook for their excellent service. Finally, you'll head back to the hotel, where you can enjoy a long, hot shower and a much-needed rest.
