The hike will begin through the lush rainforest, offering an opportunity to spot various wildlife, including the elusive blue monkey. The sights and sounds of the forest will surround you as you make your way towards Machame Camp, situated at an elevation of 9,800 feet. The hike on this day will last approximately 5 to 6 hours, covering a distance of 6.7 miles and gaining an impressive 4,400 feet in elevation.

The descent will then lead you back to Barafu Camp before continuing on to Mweka Camp, situated at 10,000 feet for some well-deserved rest.
