Enjoy a picnic lunch at Kambi ya Taabu and continue towards Horombo Hut. If the weather is clear, marvel at the stunning views of Mawenzi and Kibo peak Trek from Horombo Hut (3,720m) to Kibo Hut (4,750m). Trek through the moorland and alpine desert of Kilimanjaro's upper altitudes. After about an hour, reach Maua River, a small mountain stream. The terrain flattens and vegetation decreases.
