Day 1  :  TREKKING POINT START FROM UMBWE GATE TO UMBWE CAVE


Starting your trek from Moshi, you'll head towards the Umbwe gate. The path leads you through a lush rainforest, where your guide will introduce you to the local plants, animals, and wildlife. Keep an eye out for the slippery trails, as the muddy terrain can be a bit tricky. The trek takes you to an altitude of 1800m to 2850m and covers a distance of 11km, which typically takes about 7 hours to complete. Your destination is the Umbwe Cave, a unique stop on this adventurous journey.

    Day 2  :  LEAVE UMBWE CAVE TO BARRANCO CAMP KILIMANJARO TREKKING


    On the second day, you'll leave the rainforest behind and encounter the impressive Western Breach wall. The landscape changes as you ascend to higher altitudes. After a day of trekking, you'll reach Barranco Camp, nestled amidst the rocky terrain. Here, you can enjoy breathtaking views and reflect on your journey so far. The altitude ranges from 2850m to 3900m over a 6km distance, taking about 7 hours to complete.

    Day 3  :  KILIMANJARO TREKKING BARRANCO CAMP TO KARANGA CAMP


    On day three, after breakfast, you'll conquer the challenging Barranco Wall, a steep ridge that leads to Karanga Valley. This ascent showcases your strength and determination. The panoramic views are your reward as you overcome this obstacle. You'll spend the night at Karanga Camp, located at an elevation of 3900m to 3995m. The day's journey covers 6km and takes approximately 5 hours.

    Day 4  :  LEAVING KARANGA CAMP TO BARAFU CAMP


    Leaving Karanga Camp, we'll reach the junction that connects to the Mweka descent Trail. From there, we continue upwards to Barafu Hut. The Southern Circuit is now completed, offering various views of the summit. Rest, dine, and prepare for the summit day at the camp, with Mawenzi and Kibo peaks in sight. Elevation: 3995m to 4673m Distance: 4km Walking time: 5 hours

    Day 5  :  BARAFU CAMP TO UHURU PEAK TO MWEKA CAMP


    On the fifth day, we wake up at midnight for tea and biscuits before starting our trek to the summit. Heading northwest, we'll ascend to Stella Point on the crater rim. There, we'll take a short rest and witness a breathtaking sunrise. Finally, at Uhuru Peak, we'll stand on the highest point of Mount Kilimanjaro, the roof of Africa. Then, we descend to Mweka Camp via Barafu for lunch. Trekking poles are essential for the loose gravel. In the evening, we enjoy our last dinner on the mountain and rest well. Elevation: 4673m to 5895m to 3100m Distance: 5km to Uhuru and 11km to Mweka

    Day 6  :  FINISH MWEKA CAMP TO MWEKA GATE


    After breakfast, we bid farewell to the crew and begin our descent to Mweka Park Gate to receive summit certificates. From there, a vehicle will take us to Mweka village, and we'll drive back to our hotel in Moshi. Elevation: 3100m to 1800m Distance: 10km Walking time: 3 hours
