Following an early breakfast at Simba Camp, you'll set off for your next high-altitude destination: Second Cave Camp (3,480 m). This leg of the journey is relatively straightforward, lasting about 3 hours, allowing you ample time to relax and explore upon arrival. After lunch, a few hours of rest precede an acclimatization trek toward Kikilewa Camp (3,630 m), a short distance along the Rongai Route, with a 100-meter altitude gain. Later, you'll return to Second Cave Camp, marking a day of gradual ascent and preparation for the adventure ahead.

Following breakfast, your journey continues towards Kikilewa Camp (3,630 m), offering stunning views of the majestic Kibo Volcano (weather permitting). Today is a day of respite, allowing you to rest and recharge after lunch before the next leg of the trek to Mawenzi Tarn Camp. In the evening, following dinner, your guide will conduct health checks for everyone in the group and provide essential instructions for the upcoming day's trek. Day 4  :   from Kikilewa Camp to Mawenzi Tarn Camp

Beginning with an early breakfast, your day kicks off with a trek to Mawenzi Tarn Camp, nestled at the base of Kilimanjaro's second summit, Mawenzi Volcano. Upon reaching the camp, a well-deserved lunch and a two-hour rest await you. Later, an acclimatization trek towards Mawenzi Volcano, involving a 200-meter altitude gain, unfolds. Finally, you'll descend back to Mawenzi Tarn Camp, where a satisfying dinner awaits in the evening. This strategic itinerary ensures you're well-prepared for the journey ahead.

Day 5  :   from Mawenzi Tarn Camp Trek to Kibo Camp

On this day, your journey leads you towards Kibo Summit Camp (4,700 m). Expect a noticeable shift in the landscape as it transforms into a rocky semi-desert. While the trek itself isn't overly challenging, it's crucial to maintain a suitable pace to conserve your energy for the impending trek to Kilimanjaro's summit. Upon reaching the camp, our recommendation is to prioritize rest, avoid strenuous activities, and stay well-hydrated. This prudent approach prepares you for the monumental ascent to Uhuru Peak later that night

Day 6  :  Trekking to Uhuru Peak and Descend to Horombo Hut Cam

Your journey to Uhuru Peak commences from School Hut Camp, perched at an elevation of 4,715 m, during the night. As you ascend to the lofty 5,895 m of Uhuru Peak, you'll feel the strain on your cardiovascular system due to the high altitude, despite the relatively moderate incline. Throughout this ascent, one guide is assigned to every two trekkers, monitoring their fitness closely. Upon reaching the summit, you'll have the opportunity to venture onto the nearby glacier. The descent to Horombo Camp at 3,720 m includes a well-deserved 2-hour rest stop at Kibo Camp. Remember, it's crucial to stay cautious on the way down, as the majority of trekking accidents occur during descent. Watch your step for a safe return

Day 7  :  Descend trek to Marangu Gate and drive back to Moshi

Your descent today takes you from the arid alpine desert, through the familiar moorland, and into the lush rainforest. The trail offers a stark contrast to your initial day's experience and can be wet and muddy in the final stretch. Keep an eye on the trees for glimpses of playful monkeys. Upon collecting your well-earned summit certificate at Marangu Gate, your driver will be ready to take you back to your hotel for a well-deserved celebration
