Day 1  :  Drive from Machame Gate to Machame Camp

Today, we embark on our Kilimanjaro trek. After a delicious breakfast, we drive to the Machame Gate, the starting point of our journey. The drive takes us through the charming village of Machame, nestled on the lower slopes of the mountain. As we enter the lush rainforest, the trail winds its way up a ridge. The initial part might be muddy and slippery, so gaiters and trekking poles come in handy. After approximately 5-7 hours of trekking, we reach Machame Camp at an elevation of 9,400 feet, where we'll spend the night.

As we continue, the route changes to the southeast, guiding us to the Lava Tower, also known as the "Shark's Tooth." After a short break, we proceed to the second junction, which will take us to the Arrow Glacier at 16,000 feet. Descending from there, we finally arrive at Barranco Hut, situated at 13,000 feet. Day 6  :  Challenge trek from Barafu Camp to Summit to Mweka Hut

The most challenging and rewarding day has arrived. At midnight or in the early hours of the morning, we start the ascent towards the summit. The route takes us between the Rebmann and Ratzel glaciers, heading northwest towards Stella Point on the crater rim. This section demands mental and physical strength, but the sunrise from Stella Point is a magical sight (weather permitting). From there, it's a snowy ascent to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa, standing tall at 19,345 feet. After celebrating our achievement, we begin the descent, passing through Barafu Camp for a quick lunch. The trail takes us down to Mweka Hut, situated at 10,000 feet. This is our last night on the mountain.

Day 7  :  Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate back to Moshi, final trekking day

On the final day of the trek, we descend to the Mweka Gate to receive our well-earned summit certificates. The trail may be wet and muddy at lower elevations, but it's a memorable walk through the lush rainforest. From the gate, we continue for about an hour until we reach Mweka Village. A vehicle will be waiting to take us back to our hotel in Moshi. It's time to celebrate our incredible journey and achievements. Please note that the actual trek duration and specific details may vary based on the group's pace, weather conditions, and other factors. It's important to have a well-trained and experienced guide leading the expedition to ensure safety and a successful summit.
