    Day 1  :  Moshi – Machame Gate – Machame Camp


    After enjoying a delicious breakfast at your hotel, you will be picked up and driven to the Kilimanjaro entrance gate. While your guide takes care of the registration process, you can get yourself ready for the exciting trek ahead. Once everything is in order, your Kilimanjaro adventure will commence. As you ascend through the magnificent mountain rainforest, you will be surrounded by ancient trees, lush ferns, liana, lichen, and moss that blanket the ground and drape from the trees.Keep an eye and ear out, as you may even spot the elegant black and white colobus monkeys frolicking in the treetops. The trek will take approximately 5 to 6 hours, leading you to the Machame Camp, which is nestled just above the tree line. Here, at the base of Mt.     Day 2  :  Machame Camp – Shira Cave Camp


    Wake up early to start your day with a delightful breakfast before setting off on the next leg of your journey. Today's trek leads you through heath and moorland landscapes, offering breathtaking views of the mountain range. The path becomes steeper as you advance. The trek is relatively shorter than the previous day, and you will reach the New Shira Camp by mid-afternoon. From this campsite, you will be treated to a stunning view of the mountain, and during sunset, the evening sun will illuminate the rock face and glaciers of Kibo.Altitude: 3,010 m to 3,845 m. Distance Covered: 5 km. Time to be used: 4 - 6 hours. Habitat: Rainforest / Low Alpine Zone. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner. Accommodation: Shira Cave Camp.

    Day 3  :  Shira Cave Camp – Lava Tower - Barranco Camp


    Today's trek involves gaining about 800 meters in elevation, gradually acclimatizing your body as you reach heights above 4,500 meters. The trek starts with a steady ascent above the Shira Plateau, leading to the Lava Tower. You continue eastward along a ridge, passing the junction towards Kibo peak, then changing direction to the South East, heading to the Lava Tower, aptly named the "Shark’s Tooth." The second junction takes you up to the Arrow Glacier at 16,000 feet. The vegetation becomes sparser as you ascend, transforming the landscape into an afro-alpine desert. The route guides you through the Barranco Valley, adorned with lobelia and giant senecio plants. After 6-7 hours, you'll reach the picturesque Barranco Camp, considered the most beautiful campsite on the mountain.     Day 4  :  Barranco Camp – Karanga Camp


    After a night's rest beneath the Great Barranco Wall, you will face the challenge of trekking this impressive barrier. However, fear not, as the ascent is much easier than it appears. Once you conquer this obstacle, you will continue your trek until you reach just below the Heim Glacier. From there, the path descends through the Karanga Valley, which marks the last water point for your porters to collect water for the rest of the journey. The campsite at Karanga is where you'll spend the night. After lunch, you can explore the surroundings or take a well-deserved rest while marveling at the towering spires of Mawenzi.Altitude: 3,960 m to 4,035 m. Distance Covered: 7 km.     Day 5  :  Karanga Camp - Barafu Camp or Kosovo Camp


    Awaken to the glorious sunlight dancing off the summit of Kibo, and enjoy a hearty breakfast before setting out on today's journey to Barafu Camp. Most of the day will be spent trekking through dry, desertic terrain, with the mighty Kibo ever-present on your left side. After approximately 3 to 4 hours of trekking, you will arrive at Barafu Camp. Here, you will have an early dinner and rest up, as the highlight of your trek is only a few hours away.At this point, you have completed the South Circuit, offering you spectacular views of the summit from various angles. As you make camp at Barafu, take the opportunity to relax, have dinner, and get some rest in preparation for the upcoming summit day. From this campsite, you will be able to see both peaks of Mawenzi and Kibo.Altitude: 4,034 m to 4,640 m. Elevation: 13,235 ft to 15,295 ft. Distance Covered: 6 km. Time to be used: 3-4 hours.     Day 6  :  Barafu Camp – Uhuru Peak – Mweka Camp


    Start your trek before midnight, being greeted with hot tea and a light snack. Head northwest between Rebmann and Ratzel glaciers towards Stella Point on the crater rim, the most challenging part. Take a short break at Stella Point (18,600 ft), witness the awe-inspiring sunrise if weather permits. From there, 1-hour ascent to Uhuru Peak, the highest point on Mount Kilimanjaro. Descend straight to Mweka Hut campsite via Barafu Camp for lunch. Use gaiters and trekking poles for loose gravel. Mweka Camp in the upper forest region may have mist or rain. After dinner, rest well. Altitude: 4,640m to 5,895m. Distance: 5km. Hiking Time: 7-8 hours. Habitat: Arctic. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner. Accommodation: Mweka Camp

    Day 7  :  Mweka Camp - Mweka Gate - Back to Moshi


    On the final day of your incredible adventure, wake up to a warm breakfast and participate in a traditional farewell ceremony with the mountain crew. After bidding your farewells, embark on a gentle 2 to 3-hour descent through the rainforest, arriving at the Mweka Gate. Your driver will be waiting to welcome you back. Once you return to Moshi, take a refreshing shower, and the rest of the day is yours to relax, unwind, and celebrate your remarkable achievement.Remember to show appreciation to your guides and porters with tips.
