We depart for Londorossi Gate, where you'll complete entry formalities. From there, we drive to the Lemosho trailhead and begin our climb through the pristine rainforest to Mti Mkubwa campsite.     Today's climb takes us out of the rainforest and into a picturesque savanna landscape with heather and volcanic rock formations. We reach Shira 1 Camp, where we get our first glimpse of Kibo, the summit of Kilimanjaro. Elevation: 9,498 ft to 11,500 ft. Distance: 8 km/5 miles. Climb Time: 5-6 hours. Habitat: Heath.     Continuing our journey, we explore the Shira Plateau with its unique landscapes. We then head towards the Lava Tower for lunch before taking a detour to Moir Hut for the night.     Around midnight, we begin our ascent to the summit, Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa. After enjoying the spectacular sunrise, we descend to Mweka Camp for a well-deserved rest.
