Today's 3–5-hour hike takes you through steep uphill terrain with boulders and shattered rock. Traverse the upper alpine desert and reach Barafu Camp, a rocky campsite. Rest and prepare for the summit attempt, with an early dinner and early sleep.

Continue to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa. After enjoying the summit, descend back to Barafu Camp for brunch. Continue the descent to Mweka Hut for rest.
