We begin at Londorossi Gate, registering with park authorities before a short drive to the starting point. The 5.5km hike through the rainforest takes around 3-4 hours, providing opportunities to spot wildlife. Dinner awaits at MtiMkubwa Camp

Day 2 : Mti Mkubwa Camp Hike (2,820m) to Shira Camp 1 (3,500m)

Ascending from the rainforest, we enter the low-alpine moorland zone. The 8km hike takes approximately 5-6 hours, rewarding us with scenic views on the western edge of the Shira Plateau.

Continuing across the Shira Plateau, we join hikekers from the Machame Route and enjoy panoramic views. The 14km hike lasts 5-7 hours, taking us to Moir Hut. This day involves higher altitudes, so monitoring altitude sickness symptoms is important

Day 4 : Hiking From Moir Hut (4,200m) to Lava Tower (4,600m) to Barranco Camp (3,900m)

Traversing a desert-like landscape, we reach Lava Tower at 4,600m for lunch. Joining the Southern Circuit trail, we descend to Barranco Camp, where we spend the night. Hiking high and sleeping low aids acclimatization

We tackle the Barranco Wall, a challenging 257-meter scramble, before traversing to the top of the Karanga Valley. The 7km hike takes around 4 hours, leading us to Karanga Camp for a brief lunch break.

Embarking on a relatively short and easy hike, we join the Mweka route and head to Barafu Camp. The 6km journey lasts approximately 3 hours, allowing time to rest, appreciate the scenery, and prepare for the summit push

Day 7 : Barafu Camp Hiking (4,680m) to Uhuru Peak (5,895m) to Mweka Camp (3,100m)

Starting at midnight, we undertake a challenging ascent up the steep slopes of Kibo, reaching Stella Point at 5,739m. Pushing forward for another 1-2 hours, we reach Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa. Afterward, we descend to Mweka Camp, hiking for 12-16 hours in total.
