Habitat: Stone scree and ice-capped summit Starting around midnight, you'll begin the summit attempt. After a challenging ascent over stone scree, you'll reach Stella Point (5685m) on the crater rim. Continue for about two hours on a snow-covered trail to reach Uhuru Peak (5895m). After enjoying the summit, you'll descend to Barafu Camp and then continue down to Mweka Hut for the night.
