This 6–7-hour trek covers a distance of 12 km and offers remarkable views of the semi-desert environment.

On this shorter day, we continue our ascent towards Barafu Hut. Situated at an elevation of 15,091 ft, it offers a chance to rest and prepare for the challenging day ahead.

Day 7 : Barafu Hut to Summit (Uhuru Peak), Descent to Mweka Camp

Today is the most demanding and rewarding day of the trek. We begin the final ascent around midnight, climbing steadily for 5-6 hours to reach Stella Point (18,871 ft) just in time for sunrise. From there, it's an hour's climb along the crater rim to Uhuru Peak (19,341 ft), the highest point in Africa. After celebrating our achievement, we descend to Barafu Camp and continue further down to Mweka Camp (10,170 ft) for a well-deserved rest.
