Today's trek takes you further upwards as you ascend to the east, passing the junction towards Kibo Peak. The rugged terrain adds to the challenge, but the ever-changing scenery keeps you motivated. Your destination is the iconic Lava Tower, standing tall at 4630 meters. Day 5  :  Trek to Summit Day to mweka camp

This is the most challenging and rewarding day of the entire trek. You'll set off in the early hours, guided only by the light of your headlamp, as you begin your ascent to the summit. The journey to the top is physically demanding, and the thin air adds to the difficulty, but the sense of accomplishment is unparalleled. Your determination and the support of your fellow trekkers and guides will keep you going. Reaching Stella Point, you'll pause to catch your breath and witness a breathtaking sunrise, a moment that will stay etched in your memory forever. Pushing forward through snow-covered terrain, you'll eventually reach Uhuru Peak, standing at a remarkable 5895 meters above sea level. Here, you'll experience an overwhelming sense of achievement and take in the awe-inspiring vistas that stretch out below. After celebrating at the summit, you'll begin your descent, passing through Barafu Camp and making your way to Mweka Camp for a well-deserved rest.
