Very early in the morning, you will set off on your ascent to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro. The hike to the summit will take you through steep and heavy scree or snow, up to Gilman’s Point at an elevation of 5700m/18,700ft. From here, you will continue your hike to the summit, reaching Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa, at an elevation of 5895m/19,340ft.
