Your adventure begins at Londorossi Gate, located at an altitude of 2,100 meters in the western part of Mount Kilimanjaro. After registering with the Kilimanjaro National Park authorities, you'll proceed to the trailhead starting point. The hike to Mti Mkubwa Camp at 2,820 meters takes around 3-4 hours, winding through the lush rainforest zone. Keep an eye out for glimpses of wildlife along the path. At the camp, you'll be treated to a delicious dinner and have a chance to rest.

    Day 2  :  Mti Mkubwa Camp to Shira Camp 1 Kilimanjaro Hiking


    Leaving the rainforest behind, you'll venture into the low alpine moorland zone, which leads to the vast Shira Plateau. The hike to Shira Camp 1, situated at 3,610 meters, takes approximately 5-6 hours. Along the way, you'll experience stunning views and a gradual ascent, allowing for better acclimatization.

    Day 4  :  Moir Hut Camp to Buffalo Camp


    Day four presents a moderately steep hike out of Moir Valley. You'll have the option to take a detour to summit Little Lent Hill at 4,375 meters before rejoining the Northern Circuit trail. The hike will take you to Buffalo Camp, located at 4,020 meters. The day's journey is about 5-7 hours and rewards you with fantastic vistas of the plains north of Kilimanjaro.

    Day 5  :  Buffalo Camp to Rongai Third Cave


    Hiking up the Buffalo ridge and heading towards Pofu Camp, you'll eventually make your way to Rongai Third Cave at 3,800 meters. This day's hike is shorter and easier, and by now, your body should be acclimatized to the altitude.

    Day 6  :  Rongai Third Cave to School Hut Camp


    The day involves a steady incline up and over the Saddle, the stretch between the peaks of Kibo and Mawenzi. Your final destination is School Hut, situated at 4,800 meters. You'll have an early dinner here and rest before the midnight wake-up call for the summit attempt.

    Day 7  :  School Hut to Uhuru Peak and then to Millennium Camp


    At around midnight, you'll begin the steep ascent towards Kibo's slopes in the dark. After hours of hiking, you'll reach Gilman's Point at 5,681 meters, where you can witness a magnificent sunrise and breathtaking views. Pushing on, you'll reach the summit, Uhuru Peak, at 5,895 meters. After a brief stay to capture the incredible scenery, you'll descend to Millennium Camp at 3,950 meters for your final night on the mountain.
