Awakened around 11:30 PM with hot tea and biscuits, we start the steep ascent up Kibo's slopes in the darkness. Passing Hans Meyer Cave, we head to Gilman's Point (5,681 meters) and continue to the summit, Uhuru Peak (5,895 meters), just after sunrise. Enjoy the stunning views before descending to Barafu Camp and then to Millennium Camp for the night.
